Brief Project Description

Hoʻonani Village is a master-planned, mixed-use community located in Puʻunēnē on the island of Maui, encompassing approximately 165 acres currently zoned Agricultural by the County of Maui. The project includes phased development with multifamily low-rise residential units, commercial, retail and restaurant space, office space, a light industrial park, hospitality uses, and a town center. The Hawaii State Land Use Commission serves as the accepting authority for the project’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which was prepared by PDG-Hawai‘i alongside a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to evaluate infrastructure and environmental conditions. PDG-Hawai‘i serves as the land use planner and civil engineer, providing services including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design. The project includes a modified existing well system for potable water and fire protection and is planned in nine phases to support long-term community development.
