Haliʻimaile Residential Subdivision
The Haliʻimaile Residential Subdivision is a 210-lot subdivision in Maui County with 196 new single-family homes. The project provided 98 workforce housing lots for the local Maui community. Along with the single-family lots, the project included 4 large park lots for recreational use that included a large trail system around the entire site. Pioneer Design Group – Hawaiʻi served as the lead consultant and civil engineer for the site development improvements. The project is over 60 acres in size and included all elements of subdivision design such as grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water system, transportation and traffic etc. The project included a private wastewater treatment plant to manage the sanitary sewer waste, and a private water system to provide domestic and fire service for the single-family homes, the irrigation system, and the wastewater treatment plant. The private storm drainage system included multiple different permanent BMPs and a large off-site detention pond. The project is scheduled to finish vertical construction in 2025.
Kilohana Makai Subdivision
The Kilohana Makai Subdivision is a 31-lot subdivision in Maui County with 28 new single-family homes. The project is a 100% workforce housing subdivision for the Maui community. The project included the improvements for two private streets and an open space lot for landscaping and stormwater management. Pioneer Design Group – Hawaiʻi served as the lead consultant and civil engineer for the site development improvements. The project is about 7 acres in size and included all elements of subdivision design such as grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water system, transportation, and traffic etc. The utility design included a private sanitary sewer system, a private storm drainage system and a public water system that will be managed by the County of Maui’s Department of Water Supply. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2024 and be completed in 2025.
